What is the Sexual Assault Response Workforce (SARW)?

The SARW provides trauma-informed and recovery-oriented assistance to adult victims of sexual violence in the DoD community. As Sexual Assault Response Coordinator (SARC) or SAPR Victim Advocate (VA) in the SARW, you will directly support adult victims in making reports and connect them with resources. In addition, you will work closely with military leadership and other DoD support service resources to help soldiers, sailors, marines, airmen, and guardians navigate the sexual assault response system within their respective organization.

Why join the SARW?

As a member of the workforce:

  • You will receive competitive benefits and compensation along with excellent opportunities for leadership and career progression.
  • You will work with and support people from a wide variety of backgrounds.
  • You can make a meaningful difference in your career and create a lasting impact in your community by supporting victims of sexual assault in the military.

The SARW is looking for individuals with victim assistance or advocacy experience and a passion for helping others and strengthening communities.
